Community Connecting. Community Healing.

Nearly 200 people attended the opening of Imperfect Pixels in Denver. It was a diverse mix of people all engaged in the art, the conversations, the connection, and the conflict. Work like this can be triggering. While the images tend to become prematurely clear on a computer screen or on a person’s phone, seeing them in analog, requires viewing through the glass sphere to bring the image into focus. Imperfect Pixels is an analog, low tech, highly interactive exhibition. (Photos by: Willy Wilson | Life Unstill Photography)

This exhibit goes beyond art. Imperfect Pixels causes you to stop, focus, and start having dialogue that will lead to better understanding of one another and a pursuit for change in the African American Community.

From the moment I walked into the room, the energy hit me like a ton of bricks. The liberating untold stories quickly formulated and made me appreciate my blackness in every way possible. Made me appreciate standing in the gap for my people and continuing the work, telling the stories, and educating myself first and others. These amazing humans will never be forgotten, I will continue to, SAY THEIR NAME!

White people have got to stop equating their “feelings,” with the pain and suffering of BIPOC.
